The Redneck Challenge

Cletus_Del_RoyLast night Laura was out on the town celebrating some friends’ birthdays and I was left at home to fend for myself.  Normally when I’m forced to find my own dinner I take the easy way out and hit up a local restaurant for take out.  But last night I decided to do something different. I decided to have opposite “FTLOG” night.  I reached deep back into my rich Texas heritage and thought of the most redneck thing I could possibly make for dinner.

I don’t have pictures of my redneck feast because I couldn’t find Laura’s camera (I don’t have my own) and the beer appetizer sapped my will to continue looking for it.  However, I will post the menu and ask each of you, in the comment section, to disclose your ideal redneck feast.  Person with the best menu gets a suitcase of Miller High Life (or cash value).

MENU:

Appetizer – beer

Main course – Cheapest steak I could find at Safeway smothered in A-1 sauce, a side of chicken rice-a-roni, and a salad smothered in cheese and ranch dressing (I just couldn’t bring myself to use Bacos).

Dessert – Store brand ice cream sandwich
